Last fall, I studied abroad in Australia and was in an online relationship at the beginning of July. Things got rocky towards a few months later and ended in early November. The university I studied at has a tavern called Don's, hence the song title.
lyrics
Pour this smoke into my lungs to make me feel less miserable
I am so vulnerable
I’m trying to be happy when the world is slowly crumbling around me
Just don’t ruin me again please
I’m not sorry I’m leaving
It’s for the best
When I’m 5 drinks in on a Friday night
I don’t wish you were here
I wish your apologies were sincere
But they’re full of nothings
Just like your heart
You fucked me over from the start
I’m not sorry I’m leaving
It’s for the best
When I’m 5 drinks in on a Friday night
I don’t wish you were here
